We have been commissioned to design a new detached house on a piece of land next to a locally listed arts and crafts house in the Harpenden conservation area. The client is looking for a design which is unashamedly contemporary whilst making reference to the variety of materials within the local vicinity.
The site also houses a substantial oak tree with a tree preservation order on it.
We were involved as part of the Hertfordshire Architects Association Lego event over the Easter weekend.
The concept was to build a St Albans of 2069. The vast amount of Lego was provided by Brickologists.

We have recently submitted an planning application to double the footprint of a detached 1950s house in St Albans.
We looking to increase the house from 3 to 6 bedrooms with additional living space and space for working for home for our client.
Works are progressing well to a detached 1930s house to create a modern 2 storey side and rear extension. The last part of the existing roof has been removed and now time to put it all back together! Tin hat's on top so bring on the rain -it won't stop building work.
