BEECHWOOD AVENUE, ST ALBANS
The brief was to create a large open plan living dining kitchen space which would open up on to the garden. Creation of further bedrooms and bathrooms at 1st and 2nd (loft) floor.
The result is a house which creates a outdoor area which when all the rear glazing is opened up is an extension of the inside spaces and which capitalises on the sun's path.
There are 5 bedrooms, 1 ensuite and 3 further shower/bathrooms throughout the property.
The loft room has velux balcony rooflights which create an openness within the room.
The flat roofs to the 2 single storey elements have sedum green roofs installed to create a continuation of the greenery within the garden when viewed from the 1st floor bedrooms.
An powder coated Aluminium capping creates a crisp contemporary finish to the parapet walls.
